Thanks for the help guys.  I'm getting closer.  The web server is up and running well.  This evening I got the DNS fixed...  it was tough and it took me a while, but it wasn't near as bad as my experiences with the Windows Server.

This weekend I'm going to tackle SendMail and Samba.

Well, I figured I'd owed anyone who ready anything in this thread besides myself one last report.

Everything is working at this point.   That's Sendmail, DNS, DHCP, Samba, Apache and vsFTP.  I'm very happy, as alot of this stuff I could never get to work successfully with Windows.  Although it took me 9 days to get everything running, it was really less than 72 hours total.  Still a shame, but if I ever have to do it again it will be quicker.

Thanks for all yer help along the way.

Kudos.

That's a lot of system services to install and configure from the ground up with no prior experience.  Don't sweat how long it took.  It sounds like an educational, rewarding and satisfying experience.
